"Integrated Education in Hong Kong" Community Roadshow

The Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC) is going to organize a roadshow named "Integrated Education in Hong Kong" on 1 April 2001 (Sunday). The objective of "Integrated Education" is to develop a caring school culture and enhance the acceptance of students with special educational needs by school members and parents. Details of the event are as follows:
Date: 1 April 2001 (Sunday)
Time: 11:00 am - 5:00pm (Exhibition, information booths, drawing activities,
computer games and mobile iT Training Centre)
1:30 pm - 3:30 pm (Performances and panel discussion)
Venue: MacPherson Playground, Mongkok
The event is jointly organized by the Pegasus Social Service Christian Organization (Pegasus) and the EOC. Exhibition will start at 11:00 am and the opening ceremony will be held at 2:30 pm. The event will consist of a panel discussion, exhibition, information booths, and performances. There will be programmes for children that include performances by winners of the 2001 Hong Kong Student Speech Contest, drawing activities, games and singing, etc.
Two IT trucks, named "e-Training Aids Centre" and "iT Training Centre", of the Pegasus will also be placed at the venue to serve as mobile IT training centers where beginners will be taught basic techniques of using the computer. It is hoped that the message of equal opportunities and "IT for All" will be conveyed to people from all walks of life. One of the trucks is wheelchair accessible.
