Sai-kit is a professional photographer with hearing disability, who takes photos of people interviews. Digging out his old photos, he recalls the stories of his interviewees, encompassing both joys and sorrows. Despite discrimination and prejudice, love and inclusion persist. Sai-kit puts together these seemingly familiar stories, and transforms them into a touching film that is loaded with love and tolerance. Sai-kit, being the narrator of the series, also has his own story to be uncovered.

“The Most Beautiful Moment on Earth”

On a sunny day, a pair of novice parents enjoy their peace on a beach but soon such tranquility is disturbed by the breastfeeding time of their baby. They are on high alert and cordon off the area to avoid causing troubles to others. In fact, breastfeeding in public has nothing to be ashamed of. The Sex Discrimination Ordinance protects women from breastfeeding discrimination and harassment. It is unnecessary for the novice parents to worry too much.

“Holiday of Love”

Being described as an all-round superwoman by colleagues, Christine, an office lady, is preparing to welcome her new baby. Before the maternity leave, her colleagues give her their blessings and eagerly anticipate her return to work together. Christine is full of hope for her future. Yet unexpectedly she is sacked by her employer after giving birth. She is treated unfairly due to her pregnancy despite her past contribution to the company. She can only stay positive with her husband for the future.

“Filial Piety”

Miss Ho discusses the “Analects of Confucius” in class and invites her students to recommend an extract to one of their classmates. During the lively discussion, Ka-lok, a student with autism, raises his hand to suggest recommending the chapter of “Filial Piety” to himself. He recalls how his parents have been trying hard to take care of him, who has special educational needs. He is grateful for the unconditional love from his parents and he hopes that he will not make them worried again in the future.

“Breakfast”

Mei-sheung, a supermarket shopkeeper, is forced to give up her career for taking care of her family. Her recent request to change her working hours has prompted dissatisfaction from colleagues. She is overwhelmed but the worst is yet to come. Her husband is diagnosed with terminal cancer. How can she cope with the stress from both work and life? If carers with family responsibilities can receive more support from the society and be offered flexible working arrangements by employers, they can realise their potential whilst taking care of their family, just as others do.

“Swan Lake”

An ethnic minority little girl, wearing a cute ballet costume, gets ready for the ballet rehearsal of “Swan Lake” with other children. But she is afraid that her look does not match her role as the white swan. How can a bunch of beautiful and elegant swans accept a small black duck? She, sitting alone in the corner, hesitates to join the rehearsal. It turns out her friends never discriminate against her. Regardless of our ethnicities, we can always get along with and respect one another, and grow and progress together.

“Miss Grey”

Wing-yu suffers from depression after the sudden loss of her father. She feels that the world looks gloomy. After taking her friends’ advice, she starts to receive mental health treatment and soon, through painting, she finds her joy again. But the cruel reality remains out there, dealing a blow against her again. She fails to find a job after multiple attempts and she even receives unfriendly looks and vicious criticisms during job interviews. Perhaps what Wing-yu needs is not only a job opportunity, but also the support and empathy from the society, so that people who are recovered or recovering from mental illness can be given a chance to resume their normal lives.

“Overstepping the Rules”

Sum-yin has been sexually harassed by her boss in the office. At a Cafe, she witnesses a well-built young male staff member being verbally harassed by a female customer and his female manager. The scenario reminds Sum-yin of her own experience, and she decides to speak up for the waiter. Under the Sex Discrimination Ordinance, sexual harassment is an unlawful act and both men and women are protected. After speaking up for the waiter, Sum-yin makes up her mind to say “no” to the workplace sexual harassment she encountered.

Theme Song:”I believe”

The music video features the real-life love story of LEE Hin and his wife. This heart-touching song, combining music and life, aims to bring out the message that the world is full of love.
