Enrol in EOC’s training programme this fall

The EOC is now accepting applications for its 2021 fall training programme. Running from mid-October until mid-December, it consists of three free-of-charge courses and six paid courses. They serve to equip employers with knowledge of their potential liability for unlawful acts under Hong Kong’s anti-discrimination ordinances, including those done by their employees in the course of employment. HR practitioners will also benefit as the programme is designed to build their capacity for embedding diversity and inclusion into organisational policies and practices.

Two of the free courses, namely “Introduction to the Anti-discrimination Ordinances in Hong Kong” and “Understanding Unlawful Harassment under the Anti-discrimination Ordinances”, will be conducted online. The paid courses focus on more specific topics, such as prevention of sexual harassment in the workplace, recruitment and selection processes, and complaint-handling procedures. A new course on issues of disability and racial discrimination in educational contexts is also available.

Places are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration should be made at least seven working days in advance of the date of the course of interest. For enquiries, please contact the EOC at 2106 2155.
