New course on offer in EOC’s 2021 fall training programme

The EOC’s acclaimed anti-discrimination and anti-harassment training courses will return this November and December. Among the six paid courses is a new offering titled “The Disability Discrimination Ordinance and the Race Discrimination Ordinance in Education”, which addresses issues of disability and racial inclusion in admission policies, curriculum design and accommodation measures.

The other paid courses are designed specifically for human resources practitioners, managers and business owners. They provide a deep dive into practical topics, such as best practices in recruitment and selection processes; ways to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace; how to handle discrimination and harassment complaints; examples of HR policies which may amount to unlawful discrimination based on sex, pregnancy, breastfeeding, family responsibilities; and how to comply with the Disability Discrimination Ordinance in making decisions related to sick leave and performance appraisal.

The courses are available at an affordable fee of HK$790 - HK$1350, covering course materials, refreshments and a certificate of attendance.

Places are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration should be made at least seven working days in advance of the date of the course of interest. For enquiries, please contact the EOC at 2106 2155.
