Promote universal design with support from EOC’s Community Participation Funding Programme
The EOC is now inviting project proposals carrying the theme “Universal Design” under its Community Participation Funding Programme on Equal Opportunities. Each approved project will receive a maximum funding of HK$150,000, and should commence within the fiscal year 2022-23.
EOC Chairperson urges Government to focus on outcomes in supporting non-Chinese-speaking students
Earlier this month, EOC Chairperson Mr Ricky CHU Man-kin published an article in The South China Morning Post urging the Government to take an outcome-oriented approach to supporting non-Chinese-speaking (NCS) students in Hong Kong.
Study stresses need for better access to HPV information for non-ethnic Chinese
Local mothers of South Asian descent regard teachers and healthcare professionals as important sources of information about the health of their children. Yet, they are rarely informed about the need for their daughters to undergo HPV vaccination, according to a recent study conducted by The Chinese University of Hong Kong and funded by the EOC.
