On 20 March 2023, EOC Chairperson Mr Ricky CHU Man-kin attended a meeting of the Legislative Council Panel on Constitutional Affairs to present an update on the work progress made by the EOC in 2022-23 and its focuses for 2023-24.

International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (IDERD) is observed annually on 21 March to promote racial diversity, equality and inclusion (DEI) around the globe. It is a good time for us to reflect on what we have progressed in racial DEI and what we should do more in the future. This year, the EOC led various initiatives under the theme “All Races As One”, with an aim to raise public awareness of racial issues.

Speaking on RTHK’s radio programme Letter to Hong Kong on 18 March, EOC Chairperson Mr Ricky CHU Man-kin called on the community to tackle stigmatisation and discrimination of persons with mental illness (PMIs).

The EOC is delighted to be recognised as a “Jockey Club Age-friendly City Partner” and awarded the “10 Years Plus Caring Organisation”, showcasing our commitment in promoting family-friendly working environment.
