EOC welcomes District Court ruling on a sexual harassment case
On 28 July 2023, the District Court made a judgment on the assessment of damages in a sexual harassment case where a female Event Coordinator of a recreation club (the Claimant) was sexually harassed on multiple occasions by the male Operations Manager (the Respondent) at the time when they were both working at the club.
World Breastfeeding Week: EOC Chairperson calls on employers to create breastfeeding-friendly workplace
In an op-ed article published on online media outlet HK01, EOC Chairperson Mr Ricky CHU Man-kin urged employers to create a safe and convenient environment for breastfeeding mothers, free from discrimination and harassment. Such an environment would enable these mothers to breastfeed their babies or express breast milk with ease.
EOC organises Sportswear Day to promote physical and mental well-being among staff
On 4 August 2023, EOC organised a Sportswear Day, which aimed to promote a healthy lifestyle and physical and mental well-being among staff members. In support of the initiative, staff members enthusiatically donned their favourite sports attire, infusing the office with an energetic and rejuvenating atmosphere.
