On 19 February 2024, EOC Chairperson Mr Ricky CHU Man-kin briefed Members of the Legislative Council Panel on Constitutional Affairs on the EOC’s work progress in 2023-24 and its key focus areas for 2024-25.

The EOC has launched a citywide publicity campaign to promote its first-ever Universal Design Award Scheme 2024/25. The integrated campaign features out-of-home adverts in various MTR stations, as well as online posts on Facebook and LinkedIn.

On 16 March 2024, the EOC will host the ‘Diversity & Inclusion Education Forum’ to explore strategies for creating inclusive learning environments in schools with educators. This event will also serve to commemorate International Women’s Day, observed on 8 March, and International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination on 21 March.

The ‘EmpowerZ Traineeship Pilot Programme’ organised by the MTR Corporation aims to enhance the career development of individuals from ethnically diverse backgrounds and individuals with disabilities. The 12-month trainee programme is now accepting applications until 3 March 2024. The EOC is pleased to be a supporting organisation of this initiative.
