EOC organises symposium to explore ways to enhance physical and digital accessibility

On 15 July 2024, the EOC organised the Accessible for All@Hong Kong Symposium at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, providing a unique platform for exchanges and discussion among close to 300 guests on ways of building a more accessible and inclusive environment. Ms Winnie HO Wing-yin, JP, Secretary for Housing of the HKSAR Government, was the event’s Guest of Honour.

EOC holds ceremony to recognise racially friendly schools

On 5 July 2024, the EOC held a ceremony at the Hong Kong Jockey Club Auditorium of the Hong Kong Palace Museum to commend 158 kindergartens, primary and secondary schools for participating in the 2023/24 Racially Friendly Campus Recognition Scheme.

The sixth batch of the Arts Development Fund for Persons with Disabilities opens for applications

The sixth batch of the Arts Development Fund for Persons with Disabilities under the Social Welfare Department is open for applications until 23 August 2024. The fund aims to promote the participation of persons with disabilities in cultural and arts activities, giving them opportunities to develop their potential and enhance their quality of life. Non-profit making organisations that fulfil certain requirements and with two years of experience in organising arts activities or training programme for persons with disabilities are eligible to apply.

The 9th Golden Age Expo & Summit opens for registration

The Golden Age Foundation will be hosting the BOC Life 9th Golden Age Expo & Summit from 2-4 August 2024 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Under the theme “Sustainable Smart Ageing”, the event will highlight the latest technologies, innovations, and services for smart ageing cities. Registration for the event is now open until 26 July (Friday).
