EOC Member and staff members participate in the national studies course in Beijing
EOC Member Ms Rosanna CHOI Yi-tak, along with nine EOC staff members, took part in a national studies course at the National Academy of Governance in Beijing from 9 to 13 September 2024. Organised by the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the course was designed for statutory bodies in Hong Kong to deepen participants’ understanding of the institutions on the Mainland, the latest developments in society and the economy as well as Hong Kong’s role in the country’s development strategy. The Office of the Ombudsman and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data also participated in the national studies course.
EOC launches Racially Friendly Campus Recognition Scheme 2024/25
The EOC has launched the 2024/25 Racially Friendly Campus Recognition Scheme to promote racial inclusion and diversity in schools. Supported by the Education Bureau, the scope of the scheme is further expanded to include three new awards for exemplary initiatives, namely the Racially Friendly Campus Star Champion Award, the Racial Diversity & Inclusion Teacher Partner Award and the Racially Friendly Campus Activity Award of the Year.
EOC’s autumn training programme opens for application
Applications are now open for the EOC’s 2024 autumn training programme. Running from October to December 2024, the programme includes three free-of-charge online courses and seven fee-charging courses.
Hong Kong Association of the Deaf organises Hong Kong Deaf Festival 2024
Organised by the Hong Kong Association of the Deaf, the Hong Kong Deaf Festival 2024 will take place on 22 September at the Kowloon City Plaza.
