EOC presents work progress and 2025-26 work plan to Legislative Council
On 17 February 2025, EOC Chairperson Ms Linda LAM Mei-sau provided an update to Members of the Legislative Council Panel on Constitutional Affairs regarding the EOC’s work progress in 2024 and its efforts to promote equal opportunities for diverse communities.
EOC welcomes the District Court’s ruling on a sexual harassment case
The EOC welcomes the District Court’s ruling on 14 February 2025 concerning a sexual harassment case. The court ruled in favour of a foreign domestic worker (the Claimant), holding that her former employer (the Respondent) had engaged in conduct constituting sexual harassment as defined under the Sex Discrimination Ordinance (SDO) (Cap. 480).
EOC delegation visits Kai Tak Sports Park
On 19 February 2025, EOC Chairperson Ms Linda LAM Mei-sau led a delegation to visit the Kai Tak Sports Park, which is set to host its opening ceremony on 1 March 2025.
