EOC holds ceremony to commend schools for participating in the 2024/25 Racially Friendly Campus Recognition Scheme

On 4 July 2025, the EOC held a ceremony to commend schools participating in the 2024/25 Racially Friendly Campus Recognition Scheme for their achievements in implementing racial inclusion initiatives. The Education Bureau continued to support the Scheme this year and the event was officiated by Dr CHOI Yuk-lin, Secretary for Education of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. EOC Chairperson Ms Linda LAM Mei-sau, along with EOC Members Ms Queenie CHAN Lai-kwan, Ms Aruna GURUNG, Mr Vishal MELWANI, Miss Shirley TO Shuk-yi and Dr Vincent WONG Wai-lun also joined the event.

EOC organises sharing session ‘Application of Universal Design in the Retail Environment’

On 1 August 2025, the EOC will host a sharing session to showcase exemplary universal design practices in the retail environment. Representatives from five awarded premises of the inaugural Universal Design Award Scheme (UDAS) will share their experiences and insights in creating inclusive shopping experience.

EOC showcases "Harmony in the Universe" at Learning & Teaching Expo 2025

From 2 to 4 July 2025, the EOC participated in the Learning & Teaching Expo 2025 to showcase the online educational modules, Harmony in the Universe. The modules aim to enhance primary school students’ understanding of equal opportunities. Visitors to the EOC booth received exclusive souvenirs related to the educational modules, as well as other educational materials produced by the EOC for visitors from different backgrounds.

Latest batch of Arts Development Fund for Persons with Disabilities opens for applications

The seventh batch of the Arts Development Fund for Persons with Disabilities under the Social Welfare Department is open for applications from eligible organisations until 1 September 2025 (Monday). Non-profit organisations with at least two years of experience in organising structured arts activities or training programmes for persons with disabilities are eligible to apply.
