“Racial D&I Charter: What Next?” Networking Event (8 December 2022)

The second networking event for Charter signatories was held on 8 December 2022 with the help of venue host, Arup. The aim was to meet the newer signatories and also give them an opportunity to interact with each other. The industry sectors represented at this session were construction, engineering, technology, F&B, HR and hospitality.

The session featured a fireside chat with Dr. Young Wong, Region EDI Champion, Arup and Catherine Tsui, People Leader, Arup. It was an engaging discussion that covered questions including: How to get staff interested in racial DEI topics and convince them of its importance; Arup’s motivation to join the Charter; Arup’s DEI initiatives and best practices; how to get started on the racial DEI journey?

Participants from the invited companies brainstormed ideas on overcoming barriers that most workplaces face in progressing racial D&I goals.
