In honour of International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (21 March), the EOC hosted a panel discussion on 23 March and ran a social media campaign this month to promote racial diversity and inclusion. EOC Chairperson Mr Ricky CHU Man-kin also contributed articles to am730, Hong Kong Free Press and Inmedia.net, urging all sectors in society to work together to remove systemic barriers in education, employment and access to services faced by non-ethnic Chinese communities in Hong Kong.

In two videos recently released on EOC’s YouTube channel, the EOC talks to tertiary students from different ethnic backgrounds who were matched with internship openings at companies under The Zubin Foundation’s EMerging Talent Internship Programme 2021.

The EOC is pleased to be awarded the status of a 10 Years Plus Caring Organisation by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS) in recognition of the Commission’s sustained commitment to caring for the community, its employees and the environment.

To empower differently-abled people to unleash their creativity and promote appreciation of historic buildings in Hong Kong, the Antiquities and Monuments Office has rolled out the event “Art Unbound, Inclusion Absolute - Heritage for All Drawing Competition” with the support of the EOC.
