EOC calls for applications for the Funding Programme of Research Projects of Equal Opportunities 2025/26

The EOC has launched the Funding Programme of Research Projects on Equal Opportunities 2025/26, which aims to support eligible academics and organisations in conducting innovative research projects for the promotion of equal opportunities and the elimination of discrimination acts as defined by the four anti-discrimination ordinances.

EOC participates in Building a Multicultural Workplace Job Fair

On 13 November 2024, the EOC participated in the ‘Building a Multicultural Workplace Job Fair’ organised by the Labour Department and the Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong Ethnic Minorities Committee (DAB EMSC). The event provided 3 100 quality job vacancies from 50 participating organisations to individuals from diverse cultural and racial backgrounds.

‘Deafblind on the move’ truck raises awareness about deafblindness

The Resource Centre for the Deafblind of the Hong Kong Society for the Blind is launching the ‘Deafblind on the Move’ promotional truck to mark the 2024 International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The truck will travel to various locations around the city to raise awareness about deafblindness – a condition characterised by the combined loss of sight and hearing, which significantly impacts an individual’s ability to communicate, access information, and navigate the environment.

TWF seeks participants for study on experiencing menopause at work

The Women’s Foundation is partnering with The University of Hong Kong’s School of Business to conduct a study on the experience of menopause at work. The research team is currently seeking working individuals experiencing menopause or perimenopause to participate in the study. The aim of the study is to break the stigma surrounding menopause, and foster greater public understanding and dialogue on the issue. The EOC is a supporting organisation of the project.
