EOC releases Annual Report 2023-24
On 18 December 2024, the EOC’s Annual Report 2023-24 was tabled at the Legislative Council and published on the EOC’s website. Titled ‘Making Equal Opportunities Accessible to All’, the report outlines the EOC’s key achievements from 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2024 in promoting equality and combating discrimination in Hong Kong.
EOC launches “Harmony in the Universe” online educational module for primary school students
The EOC has launched the “Harmony in the Universe” online educational module, which aims to enhance primary school students’ understanding of the value of equal opportunities. Tailored for use by primary school teachers, educators, and parents, the modules feature animated short films that follow two astronauts and their friends as they explore themes of diversity and inclusion in their journey through space. Through discussion questions, games, and activities, the modules encourage students to develop empathy, respect differences, and care for others.
EOC participates in Barrier Busters 2024 to promote disability inclusion
“Barrier Busters” is an annual flagship fundraising event organised by the Hong Kong Society for Rehabilitation to provide community education on barrier-free access and disability inclusion. This year, the event was held on 15 December 2024. Featuring barrier-free city-orienteering experiences and a carnival, it attracted a diverse range of participants, including students, families, and representatives from corporations and NGOs.
Experience inclusive arts and cultural events during WestK Inclusive Sharing Month
The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority (“WKCDA”) has launched the Inclusive WestK Community Engagement Programme 2024-25, which features a variety of arts and cultural events to bring diverse community members together.
