EOC calls for applications for the 2025-26 Community Participation Funding Programme on Equal Opportunities
The EOC’s 2025-26 Community Participation Funding Programme on Equal Opportunities is now open for applications. The programme aims to provide financial support to non-profit organisations, charities, schools and other relevant organisations to organise public educational initiatives on diversity, equality and inclusion. Interested parties are invited to submit their applications on or before 31 March 2025.
‘Resonating Voices’ project tackles mental health stigmatisation
Resonating Voices: Mental Health Anti-Stigma Community Integration Project is a project by the Lok Ching Community Mental Health Education and Promotion Service Centre, which is part of the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals. Funded by the EOC’s 2023-24 Community Participation Funding Programme on Equal Opportunities, the Centre has organised a series of educational workshops and experiential events to promote the importance of mental health for youth and the general public. It has recently launched a series of videos that include interviews with individuals with mental health needs sharing their experiences, as well as discussions with a mental health professional on ways to support people with mental health needs.
Photography exhibition showcases the stories of carers of persons with intellectual disabilities
The Mental Health Association of Hong Kong will organise an exhibition on 25 February 2025 (Tue) to showcase the mobile photography of eight carers of persons with intellectual disabilities. The opening ceremony will be officiated by EOC Chairperson Ms Linda LAM Mei-sau.
WISE organises Inclusive Horizons 2025 Campus Career Fair for students with special educational needs
On 1 March, WISE will hold Inclusive Horizons 2025 – Campus Career Fair for students with special educational needs (SEN). This event will feature a variety of inclusive companies from diverse industries, including engineering, banking, luxury, and non-profit. Participating students will have the opportunity to join onsite interviews and receive a professional headshot for their online profiles. EOC Chairperson Ms Linda LAM Mei-sau will deliver a speech at the event. The EOC will also set up a booth to promote its work in supporting students with SEN.
