EOC launches new guide 'How to Support Employees with Mental Health Conditions at Work'

On 29 July 2025, the EOC launched a new guide titled How to Support Employees with Mental Health Conditions at Work (the “Guide”), which aims to help employers and managers better understand how to support employees with mental health conditions. By sharing the personal experiences of persons with mental health conditions and explaining the negative stigma and discrimination associated with mental illness, the Guide seeks to enhance awareness and understanding of mental health among employers and employees. It also offers practical examples of reasonable accommodations to support employers and employees in creating mental health-friendly and inclusive workplaces.

EOC holds award ceremony for anti-sexual harassment video contest

On 17 July 2025, the EOC held an award ceremony for the “Safe Spaces for All: Anti-Sexual Harassment 60-Second Video Contest 2025” to recognise the contest’s winning teams for their creativity in promoting the anti-sexual harassment message. Mr Clement WOO Kin-man, Under Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs of the HKSAR Government, was the Guest of Honour.

EOC co-organises Building a Multicultural Workplace Job Fair

The Labour Department and the Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong (DAB) Ethnic minorities Committee organised the ‘Building a Multicultural Workplace Job Fair’ on 24 and 25 July 2025 to enhance the employment opportunities of job seekers from diverse cultural and racial backgrounds. The event provided 2 300 quality job vacancies from 50 participating organisations.

The World Breastfeeding Week (WBW) is celebrated from 1 to 7 August every year. Under the theme “Prioritise Breastfeeding: Creating Sustainable Support Systems”, the campaign this year calls for collaborative efforts across various sectors to prioritise breastfeeding and build a sustainable network to support breastfeeding.

China Disabled Persons’ Federation hosts Care & Rehabilitation Expo China 2025

The China Disabled Persons’ Federation will organise the Care & Rehabilitation Expo China 2025 from 12 to 14 September 2025 at the China National Convention Center in Beijing. The event provides a platform for around 400 rehabilitation and assistive technology providers to showcase their products and solutions, while facilitating connections between enterprises and interested buyers from across the world.
