EOC launches anti-sexual harassment video contest

The EOC is calling for submissions for the “Safe Spaces For All: Anti-Sexual Harassment 60-Second Video Contest”. Members of the public are invited to create innovative short videos to promote the message of zero tolerance for sexual harassment, foster a culture of mutual respect, and build safer communities.

On 8 April 2025, the EOC will host a seminar to showcase exemplary universal design practices for the workplace. Several awardees from the inaugural Universal Design Award Scheme (UDAS) will also share their experiences and insights at the event.

On 15 March 2025, the EOC hosted a multicultural event to mark International Women’s Day 2025. Titled “Empowering Women: Health, Rights and Wellbeing”, the event brought together female leaders from diverse non-ethnic Chinese communities to address the unique challenges faced by women from different ethnic and cultural background, while raising awareness of their rights under the anti-discrimination legislations. EOC Member Dr Teresa Cunanan delivered opening remarks at the event.

CareER’s Disability Inclusion Index is inviting employers to enrol in its 2025 cohort. Supported by the EOC, the Index offers a localised framework and assessment tool to assist corporations in advancing disability inclusion. The enrolment deadline is 30 April 2025.

Women Workplace Index releases Women Workplace Monitor 2024

Women Workplace Index is an organisation which aims to encourage employers’ disclosures on women workplace representation in Asia, set best practices, and accelerate changes to improve women’s representation. It operates a public database that tracks women workplace representation and gender-inclusive employment practices in Asia, with initial focus on Hong Kong companies. Earlier this month, it released the inaugural Women Workplace Monitor 2024, which analysed public disclosures from over 250 companies listed or based in Hong Kong to assess female representation in diverse sectors and the implementation of policies that promote gender equality.
