Introduction:

The Building Surveyor Awards 2025 aims to enhance public recognition to preeminent projects in terms of design, innovation, management, conservation, sustainability and achievement with substantial contributions by Building Surveyors.

Nomination categories:

• New Development Category: 
  • Projects that involve new development or redevelopment of buildings/facilities.
• A&A, Conversion and Fit-out Category:
  • Projects that involve alterations, additions, or changes in the use of existing buildings/facilities, as well as fit-out projects.
• Maintenance and Rehabilitation Category:
  • Projects that involve maintenance, repair, refurbishment, or rehabilitation of existing buildings/facilities. The use of these buildings and facilities will remain unchanged under this category.
• Research and Innovation Category:
  • Projects or practices that involve research studies or the use of innovative technologies applied in practical applications for the built environment.
• Project Outside Hong Kong Category:
  • Projects related to buildings/facilities located outside the geographical boundaries of Hong Kong.

Introduction:

The Building Surveyor Accreditation Plus (BSA+) scheme is the new brand established under Building Surveyor Award (BSA) in its 10^th Anniversary this year. The scheme aims to recognize buildings or premises that demonstrate excellence in meeting the rigorous building criteria and prioritising end-user experience.

Nomination categories:

• Residential: 
  • Including residential blocks, apartments, houses, and dormitories.
• Commercial:
  • Covering office buildings, retail, hotels, and mixed-use developments.
• Industrial:
  • Focusing on factories, warehouses, data centres, and other industrial facilities. 
• Institutional:
  • Including buildings for education, hospitals, government buildings, and other public institutions. 
• Recreational:
  • Covering sports facilities and entertainment venues.
